Job summary

Applied Aerospace & Defense in Boylston, MA is seeking a Machinist - CNC Lathe for the 2nd shift to machine precision aerospace components according to customer specifications, while meeting quality, production, and scheduling requirements.

The role requires 3–5 years of CNC machining experience, ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T, use micrometers and gauges, and maintain equipment; sign-on bonus of $2500; full-time, on-site, with strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years CNC machining experience in aerospace or similar manufacturing.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, drawings, and GD&T.
• Capable of basic measurement with micrometers/verniers/gauges.
• Reading and following English instructions; strong math and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathe or multi-axis lathes per engineering specs.
• Interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T to parts.
• Maintain cleanliness and perform routine maintenance on equipment.
• Read instructions, adjust offsets, and select tools and fixtures.
• Meet quality, production, and scheduling requirements.
