Job summary

A family-owned machine shop is seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to join their team. In this hands-on role, you will set up and operate CNC turning centers to manufacture precision components. Job description

Randstad Staffing is HIRING NOW for a CNC Lathe Machinist in Germantown, WI. Position Overview: As a Second Shift CNC Turning Center Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC turning centers to manufacture precision components from print to part. This is a hands-on role ideal for machinists with experience in short-run production who are passionate about quality and efficiency. Our client is a family-owned machine shop. To be successful in this role, you must be familiar with HAAS and Okuma Turning Centers. Determine appropriate fixturing, tooling and setup to complete jobs per blueprint.

salary: $60,000 - $65,000 per year
shift: Second
work hours: 3:30 PM - 2 AM
education: High School

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Create CNC programs for turning centers

  • Determine appropriate fixturing, tooling, and setup to complete jobs per blueprint

  • Operate CNC turning centers (HAAS and Okuma experience preferred)

  • Read and interpret engineering blueprints and GD&T specifications

  • Perform in-process and final part inspections to ensure print conformity

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficient in blueprint reading and G & M code

  • Understanding of turning center tooling and setup

  • Ability to create and edit CNC programs independently

  • Experience inspecting parts using GD&T standards

  • Able to lift 30 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods

Preferred Experience

  • 2+ years of CNC lathe setup experience

  • 1+ year of CNC programming experience

  • Familiarity with HAAS and Okuma turning centers
