Job summary

gpac is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to take ownership of jobs from setup through final inspection on custom, precision components.

You will set up CNC horizontal lathes, read blueprints and GD&T, select tooling and offsets, make program edits, and inspect your own work with micrometers and gauges. This role emphasizes independent problem-solving on non-repetitive work.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC lathe or turning experience preferred.
• Strong CNC setup experience.
• Solid blueprint and tolerance knowledge.
• Comfortable making tooling, offset and program adjustments.
• Experience machining steel and industrial metals.
• Able to work independently and own part quality.

• Set up and run CNC horizontal lathes - Machine low-volume, high-mix industrial components - Read blueprints, engineering drawings and GD&T - Select tooling, set offsets and adjust cutting parameters - Make basic program edits and machine adjustments - Inspect your own work using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges and indicators - Troubleshoot tooling, dimensional and machining issues

What We’re Looking For
