Job summary

Pressco Products, a manufacturing and machining company, seeks a CNC Lathe Lead to guide the lathe department and ensure quality parts for aerospace and defense programs. First shift is Monday–Thursday, 5:00 am–3:30 pm (4x10s) with optional OT on Fridays; compensation ranges $38–$48 per hour DOE plus benefits, with strong emphasis on

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Machine Shop Lead experience.
• 5+ years CNC Lathe machining experience.
• Prior CNC mill or lathe operation, setup, blueprint reading, inspection, troubleshooting, and process-improvement experience are valued.
• Excellent attendance and time management.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and run 2-axis and multi-axis CNC Lathes with sub-spindle.
• Mentor, coach, oversee, and manage the production team of 1-3 employees over two shifts and the day-to-day production schedule for the department.
• Produce parts efficiently and accurately according to work instructions, prints, and quality requirements.
• Perform appropriate in-process checks with precision measuring instruments; promptly report discrepancies and ask for assistance when needed.
• Assist with tooling, fixturing, setups, and process improvements according to skill level.
• Coordinate with programming, tooling, scheduling, quality, and department leads.
• Maintain clean, organized, safe work areas and care for equipment.
• Complete setup sheets, labor tickets, and work-order documentation accurately.
• Experienced team members may help train and mentor developing machinists.
• Maintain great communication with programming, tooling, production scheduler, and general manager
