• Mentor, coach, oversee, and manage the production team of 1-3 employees over two shifts and the day-to-day production schedule for the department.
• Produce parts efficiently and accurately according to work instructions, prints, and quality requirements.
• Perform appropriate in-process checks with precision measuring instruments; promptly report discrepancies and ask for assistance when needed.
• Assist with tooling, fixturing, setups, and process improvements according to skill level.
• Coordinate with programming, tooling, scheduling, quality, and department leads.
• Maintain clean, organized, safe work areas and care for equipment.
• Complete setup sheets, labor tickets, and work-order documentation accurately.
• Experienced team members may help train and mentor developing machinists.
• Maintain great communication with programming, tooling, production scheduler, and general manager

Description

Pressco Products is a manufacturing and machining company that produces quality machined parts, stamping, fabrication, and assembly of components for the aerospace and defense industries. With its rich 60-year history and new long-term contracts, Pressco is looking for a few key individuals who want to be a part of its continued growth and stability. This job will focus on leading the CNC Lathe department and machining quality parts.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of Machine Shop Lead experience


• 5+ years CNC Lathe machining experience


• Experienced applicants: Prior CNC mill or lathe operation, setup, blueprint reading, inspection, troubleshooting, and process-improvement experience are valued.

• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and critical thinking


• Excellent attendance and time management


• Standing and sitting for extended periods of time in a warehouse environment


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with active listening. Must be fluent in English.


• Must be eligible to access export-controlled information in accordance with U.S. export control regulations (ITAR/EAR).


• High School Diploma or GED

Compensation is dependent on experience and is evaluated regularly based on merit and performance. Wage range $38.00 - $48.00+ per hour DOE. Upon completion of the probationary period, benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Short and Long-Term Disability, 401(k), and voluntary supplemental insurance options.
