Responsibilities

• Prepare and operate Trumpf laser cutting machines to support production.
• Perform setup inspections and first piece inspections.
• Read work orders to determine materials, cutting locations, dimensions and tolerances.
• Use measuring tools to verify tolerances (micrometers, bore gauges).
• Load material into the laser and ensure control is set to schedule.
• Deburr parts and ensure quality throughout the process.

Position Overview

The CNC Laser Operator will prepare and operate Trumpf laser cutting machine(s) to support production team(s) in accordance with company specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform set-up inspections, first piece inspections as well as all subsequent inspections.


• Adjust and prepare punch/laser combinations of jobs, read work orders to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, locations of cutting lines, or dimensions and tolerances.


• Be comfortable using measuring tools to complete tasks (micrometers, height gages and bore gages).


• Set-up, adjust and prepare punch/laser combinations of jobs


• Ensure material is loaded into the laser, and the machine control is set-up to run to schedule


• Deburring parts with file or grinder as needed


• Perform set-up inspections, first piece inspections as well as all subsequent inspections

Qualifications

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a 10-hour shift.


• Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.


• Frequently bend, twist, reach, stoop, and grasp.


• Manual dexterity sufficient to operate machinery and measuring equipment.


• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.


• Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Working Conditions
