Job Description

This machining company is offering an immediate, full-time position for CNC Horizontal Mill Machinists responsible for handling, loading, and machining heavy production materials to customer or in-house requirements. The role also involves performing regular preventative maintenance and occasional repairs on facility machinery.

This is a second shift opportunity.

Responsibilities

1. Machine heavy production materials to print requirements
2. Select and properly use a wide variety of tooling to manufacture to print tolerances
3. Select or modify cutting parameters to suit various applications
4. Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment as necessary
5. Assist in troubleshooting and repairing facility machinery
6. Edit or occasionally program CNC controls
7. Complete daily maintenance and repairs and record actions on logs
8. Maintain and secure work tools and work area
9. Provide on-the-job training to new employees
10. Perform other duties as required

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or GED
2. Solid working knowledge of CNC Machine Codes
3. Experience operating horizontal lathes, horizontal and vertical milling machines, drill press, and cut-off saws
4. Experience with G&M Codes and program editing
5. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
6. Computer literate
7. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
8. Good work history with reliable attendance
