Job summary

Precinmac designs and manufactures mission-critical components in the United States. We are expanding our team of CNC experts to run lathes, mill-turns, and 3/4/5-axis mills, owning setups and translating complex drawings and GD&T into precise parts.

You will measure with hand tools and drive corrective actions, work with a teammate-based quality group, and contribute to a robust manufacturing process with maintenance and organization expectations.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or machining training with 2+ years CNC experience
• Experience on medium-high complexity components
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
• Comfort with precision metrology and basic CMM familiarity
• Ability to follow instructions, adapt quickly, and manage multiple machines
• Solid math and understanding of tooling, fixturing, and cutting strategies
• Hands-on with 4-axis horizontal mills or lathe/mill-turns

Responsibilities

• Run CNC lathes, mill-turns, and 3/4/5-axis mills
• Own setups: load parts, verify programs, adjust offsets, edit programs
• Translate drawings and GD&T into repeatable parts
• Measure with micrometers, calipers, indicators; drive corrective actions
• Keep work area organized and perform basic preventive maintenance
• Collaborate with supervisors, engineering, maintenance, and quality teams

What will I actually do?

• Run CNC lathes, mill‑turns, and 3/4/5‑axis mills
• Own your setups: load parts, verify/prove programs, adjust offsets, and make program edits
• Translate complex drawings and GD&T into repeatable, accurate parts
• Measure using micrometers, calipers, and indicators; drive corrective actions
• Keep your area organized and handle basic preventive maintenance
• Partner closely with supervisors, engineering, maintenance, and quality teams

What experience should I bring?

• HS diploma/GED and machining training or 2+ years of CNC machining
• History machining medium‑to‑high complexity components
• Strong command of blueprint reading and GD&T
• Comfortable with precision hand metrology; CMM familiarity is a plus
• Ability to follow instructions, adapt quickly, and manage multiple machines
• Solid math plus knowledge of tooling, fixturing, and cutting strategies
• Hands‑on time with 4‑axis horizontal mills and/or lathe/mill‑turn machines

When would I work?

• Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM–2:00 AM (10% shift differential)
• Friday–Sunday, 5:00 PM–5:00 AM (30% shift differential)
