Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC machines, load and secure parts, prove out programs, adjust offsets, and perform minor edits as needed.
• Read and interpret complex blueprints, GD&T, work instructions, and customer specifications.
• Inspect parts with precision measurement tools and maintain tight tolerances.
• Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high-quality production.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machines and keep areas safe and organized.
• Select tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters for materials and operations.
• Document production data, inspection results, and deviations.
• Collaborate with supervisors, engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve issues.
• Follow all safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

CNC Machinist - Night Shift (15% Shift Differential)

Location: Westfield, Massachusetts
Schedule: Monday thru Thursday from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am, we offer 15% differential for this schedule
Salary Range: $25.00 To $43.00 Hourly

Advance Mfg. is currently seeking experienced CNC Machinists to join our night‑shift team. We are hiring for multiple disciplines, including Horizontal Boring Mill Machinists, Vertical Mill Machinists, and Lathe Machinists. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in high‑precision machining and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, quality‑focused environment.

CNC Machinist Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance (PM) on machines and keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
• Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters for various materials and operations
• Document production data, inspection results, and any deviations according to company/quality requirements
• Collaborate closely with supervisors, engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve machining challenges and improve processes
• Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a safe working environment

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of machining experience
• Proven ability to machine complex, high‑precision components
• Proficiency with Fanuc CNC controls
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T
• Strong knowledge of precision machining techniques, tooling, and dimensional inspection
• Ability to maintain tight tolerances and meet strict quality standards
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
