Job summary

Precinmac, a world‑class leader in precision machining, is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist in South Paris, ME. You will work on 4‑axis horizontal milling and lathe/mill‑turn setups to produce high‑quality components with tight tolerances.

This full‑time, on‑site role offers a Friday–Sunday 5 AM–5 PM schedule, competitive benefits, tuition assistance, and a culture of precision and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; technical/vocational training preferred.
• 2+ years CNC machining experience in aerospace, medical, or high‑precision environments.
• Strong GD&T knowledge and ability to read engineering drawings.
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools and inspection.

Responsibilities

• Setup and adjustments: load parts, verify offsets, edit programs, deburr, inspect.
• Interpret blueprints, GD&T, manuals, and specs to determine tolerances.
• Perform precise inspection using calipers, micrometers, indicators, CMM data.
• Troubleshoot and adjust machines or tooling for out‑of‑tolerance conditions.
• Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, maintenance, and quality teams.
• Maintain clean, organized equipment and ensure compliance with AS9100.
• Follow safety regulations and company policies.

Precinmac is a leading supplier of mission‑critical, high‑precision machined components for aerospace, defense, semiconductor, and automation industries. We’re seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with experience in 4‑axis horizontal milling and/or lathe/mill‑turn machining — someone who thrives on precision and takes pride in producing exceptional work.

What You’ll Do

• Setup & Adjustments — Load parts, set offsets, prove programs, perform edits, deburr, and inspect
• Blueprint Interpretation — Read drawings, GD&T, manuals, and specifications to determine tolerances and machining sequences
• Inspection & Measurement — Use calipers, micrometers, indicators, gauges, and CMM data to verify accuracy
• Troubleshooting — Identify malfunctions, out‑of‑tolerance conditions, and adjust machines or tooling as needed
• Collaboration — Work with supervisors, engineers, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve issues
• Maintenance — Keep equipment clean, organized, and running efficiently
• Compliance — Follow AS9100, safety regulations, and company policies

What You Bring

• High School Diploma or GED; technical/vocational training preferred
• 2‑year degree in Precision Machining or 2+ years CNC machining experience in aerospace, medical, or high‑precision environments
• Experience machining medium to high‑complexity parts
• Knowledge of programming language, tooling, inserts, fixtures, and machining accessories
• Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerances, and engineering drawings
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, indicators, CMM exposure)
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English
• Ability to run multiple machines independently or as part of a team
• Adaptability in a fast‑paced, evolving environment
