Job summary

Hyperion Materials & Technologies in Latrobe, PA is seeking a skilled CNC grinder to set up, program and operate grinding machines according to blueprints. You will ensure accuracy by inspecting parts with micrometers, calipers and CMMs, and maintain thorough documentation such as 8-Step Checklists and SPC charts.

You'll train others, monitor flow and throughput, select tooling and wheels, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while upholding safety standards and quality

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 40 hours of continuing education training required.
• Experience with setup, operation, and inspection of CNC grinding processes.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program and operate CNC grinding machines.
• Write CNC programs using G-Code or MasterCAM.
• Inspect parts with micrometers, calipers, CMMs and other tools.
• Maintain documentation such as 8-Step Checklists and SPC charts.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and perform basic machine maintenance.
