• Must analyze specifications and select tooling according to grinding procedures.
• Must study blueprints or layouts to visualize grinding sequences.
• Knowledge of carbide and ceramic machining processes.
• Strong safety knowledge and practices in machining.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program and operate CNC grinding machines according to written procedures.
• Grind work pieces to customer blueprint specifications.
• Complete documentation per company procedures (8-Step Checklists, Route Sheets, SPC, NCRs, Scrap Tags).
• Communicate with Department Leaders regarding status and capacity.
• Assist Operators and Trainees with setup and operation of machines.
• Verify dimensions with micrometers, calipers, CMMs and other inspection equipment.
