Job summary

Milltronics USA is seeking a Field Service & Support Technician based out of our Indianapolis, Indiana facility. This role covers installation, startup, and remote support for CNC machine tools across the United States. Travel up to 50% with weekends at home, and on-site work when not traveling.

You will diagnose and repair CNC machines, provide training, and generate detailed service reports while maintaining customer satisfaction and professional conduct in the field.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience servicing CNC machine tools, industrial equipment, or industrial automation equipment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Working knowledge of industrial automation equipment, CNC controls, and related systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and blueprints.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems independently and develop effective solutions in the field.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong verbal, written, and digital communication skills.
• Professional demeanor and strong customer-service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple service priorities and maintain accurate documentation.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including occasional overnight travel.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, startup, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of CNC machine tools.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, electronic, and control-related issues at customer locations.
• Provide phone and remote technical support to customers and distributor partners when not traveling.
• Work directly with customers and distributors to identify issues, determine solutions, and provide timely technical assistance.
• Provide machine demonstrations, operator assistance, and customer training as needed.
• Prepare accurate and detailed service reports documenting work performed, findings, and recommendations.
• Communicate customer issues and field observations to internal technical, engineering, and service teams.
• Promote customer confidence in Milltronics products, services, and technical support.
