Ashton North LLC is seeking a CNC Field Service Technician to travel within MN, WI, SD, ND and nearby regions to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC machines and controls. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, accurate reporting, and professional customer interaction.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of hands-on CNC experience, strong knowledge of CNC controls, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on CNC repair/maintenance.
• Experience with rotating machinery, spindles, and precision bearings.
• Strong understanding of CNC controls and basic electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills with high attention to detail and technical accuracy.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant business software.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC machine tools, controls, and related equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and identify opportunities for performance improvement.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
• Utilize manuals and vendor support to troubleshoot complex problems.
• Communicate equipment status, repairs, and recommendations to customers.
• Submit service and installation reports accurately.
