Job summary

Komline is seeking a Machine Operator to set up, operate, and maintain metal fabrication equipment including CNC tube and plate lasers, plate rollers, and press brakes. You will ensure dimensional accuracy, quality workmanship, and safe operation while supporting production, welding, engineering, and quality teams to meet customer specifications and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience operating fabrication equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with automated laser cutting equipment including loading part files and adjusting machine settings; plate rolls and hydraulic press brakes are a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication prints.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments to verify dimensional accuracy.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot minor machine issues.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate fabrication equipment including plate rollers, press brakes, vertical band saws.
• Operate a CNC laser, loading part files and adjusting machine settings per specs.
• Form and bend metal components with hydraulic press brakes to maintain tolerances.
• Cut plate, pipe, tubing, and structural materials with vertical band saws.
• Safely use overhead cranes, hoists, and other handling equipment for heavy materials.
• Read blueprints, drawings, work orders and fabrication specs.
• Select tooling, dies and machine settings based on material thickness and job requirements.
• Verify finished dimensions with measuring tools.
• Perform machine setup and routine adjustments for quality and efficiency.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic preventive maintenance.
