Collaborating with production, welding, engineering, and quality teams, you will support on‑time delivery by reading engineering drawings, selecting tooling, and performing routine equipment

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience operating fabrication equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with automated laser cutting equipment and adjusting machine settings.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication prints.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions.
• Mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting ability.
• Experience operating overhead cranes and forklifts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate fabrication equipment including plate rollers, press brakes, vertical band saws, and small press brakes.
• Operate a CNC laser, load part files, adjust settings, and process materials per specs.
• Form and bend metal components using hydraulic press brakes within tolerances.
• Cut plate, pipe, tubing, and structural materials with vertical band saws.
• Safely use overhead cranes, hoists, and material handling equipment to move heavy items.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work orders, and fabrication specs.
• Select tooling, dies, and machine settings based on material and job requirements.
• Verify finished dimensions with tape measures, calipers, squares, and protractors.
• Perform machine setup and routine adjustments for quality and efficiency.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance.
• Report malfunctions, quality concerns, or safety issues promptly.
• Complete production documentation and maintain shop records.
