Candidates should have 3+ years in manufacturing with two of CNC drilling/milling/grinding/turning/broaching, plus 2+ years reading blueprints and using precise measuring tools. Strong safety and quality adherence is required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience setting up/operating at least TWO of the following: CNC drilling, milling, grinding, turning, or broaching.
  • 1+ year reading and interpreting mechanical blueprints and/or production planning.
  • 2+ years using precision measuring instruments.
  • Able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs with ergonomic procedures

  • Perform surface plate inspections and repetitive measuring operations; document findings and complete inspection reports.

  • Maintain good housekeeping, adhere to safety and quality standards, and assist with part marking, wash, and dry-lube as needed.

Be part of the GE Aerospace team producing high-performance rotating engine parts (Blisks, Spools, HPT Disks). We’re hiring an Inspector B experienced with CNC machining who can set up and use electronic gauging and precision measuring instruments, perform surface plate inspections, and train teammates. Inspector B certification training provided.

Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • This role may encounter high risk or hazardous operations and/or include working shifts beyond a standard workweek. As such, a requirement of the role is to be at least 18 years of age by the time of joining.
  • Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience setting up/operating at least TWO of the following: CNC drilling, milling, grinding, turning, or broaching — this is a required qualification.
  • 1+ year reading and interpreting mechanical blueprints and/or production planning.
  • 2+ years using precision measuring instruments.
  • Able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs with ergonomic procedures
Preferred
  • Prior aircraft engine machining experience.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience working in high-performing, team-based manufacturing environments
