Job summary
gpac is seeking an Engineering Manager for a hands-on leadership role in a high-precision CNC manufacturing environment in Central Illinois. You will shape engineering strategy, oversee process improvement, and drive operational excellence on the shop floor.
The ideal candidate has 6+ years in CNC manufacturing or engineering leadership, a BS in Engineering, and strong experience with G-code programming, GD&T, tooling, and process engineering. Relocation assistance is provided.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- 6+ years in CNC manufacturing or engineering leadership.
- Strong background in G-code programming, process engineering, tooling, GD&T, and machining operations.
- Experience leading teams and improving production performance.
- Experience with Plex software, NDT inspections, 5S, and advanced manufacturing improvements is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering strategy and department goals.
- Drive CNC process optimization and continuous improvement.
- Program, reduce cycle times, improve tooling performance and setup.
- Lead, train, coach, and develop engineering team.
- Manage projects, documentation, process controls and engineering standards.
- Drive efficiency, cost reduction, and operational excellence on the shop floor.
