Job summary

Advance CNC Machining in Grove City, Ohio is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team, drive strategic initiatives, and keep projects moving forward. You’ll mentor engineers, optimize workflows, and own performance metrics and budget.

Candidates should bring 10+ years in design engineering, deep machining knowledge, and proven leadership. A Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering is preferred; SolidWorks fluency is required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of combined experience in design engineering.
• Deep understanding of machining and related manufacturing processes.
• Experience leading and mentoring direct reports including excellent communication and the ability to hold others accountable.
• Strong analytical skills for diagnosing design or production challenges.
• Ability to guide engineers through concept development, 3D modeling, prints, tolerances, and manufacturability reviews.
• A mindset focused on efficiency, quality improvement, and cost savings.
• Demonstrated SolidWorks experience.

Responsibilities

• Managing, coaching, and developing a high-performing team of mechanical engineers
• Leading performance management, including goal setting, feedback, and professional growth planning
• Optimizing engineering workflows to increase throughput, reduce waste, and streamline handoffs with production teams
• Troubleshooting design issues with an analytical, solutions-oriented approach
• Owning the Engineering group’s performance indicators and budget
