Job summary

Closets by Design Dallas is seeking a motivated CNC Operator Apprentice to join our growing team in the Dallas area. You will learn to operate CNC and Edgebanding machinery, assist with setup, and move materials as needed to support production.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork. Prior manufacturing or woodworking experience is helpful but not required, with tools and training provided to help you grow.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and an interest in learning CNC equipment.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical manufacturing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Learn to operate CNC and Edgebanding machinery and related production equipment safely.
• Assist experienced CNC and Edgebanding Operators with daily machine setup and operation.
• Load and unload materials according to production requirements.
• Read work orders, drawings, cut lists, and production instructions.
• Monitor machine operation and identify potential issues or abnormalities.
• Perform basic quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications.
• Measure parts using tape measures, calipers, and other basic measuring tools.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety policies and manufacturing procedures.
• Assist with routine machine maintenance and cleaning.
• Meet production schedules while maintaining attention to quality and accuracy.
