Job summary

Cleaveland/Price designs and manufactures high voltage disconnect switches and automation products. The CNC Programmer will develop and maintain accurate programs for fabrication equipment, optimize toolpaths, reduce cycle times, and minimize setup challenges to support production, quality, and delivery objectives.

You will interpret drawings and CAD models, select tooling and fixturing, generate toolpaths, and collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to resolve

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with CAM software such as SolidCAM, Mastercam, Fusion 360, ESPRIT, GibbsCAM, or similar.
• Experience programming CNC mills and lathes and other fabrication equipment including multi-axis machines.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
• Strong understanding of machining principles, cutting tools, feeds and speeds, workholding, and fixturing methods.
• Experience with CAD models and the ability to work from 3D solid models and customer drawings.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet production deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for machining and bending.
• Interpret drawings, CAD models, and specifications to develop processes.
• Select tooling, parameters, fixtures, and strategies to maximize productivity.
• Generate and verify toolpaths for accuracy, efficiency, and safety.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Production, and Quality teams.
• Provide setup documentation and tooling requirements for production.
• Troubleshoot program issues during prove-outs.
• Optimize cycle times while maintaining quality and tolerances.
• Support new product introductions by validating programs before production release.
• Conduct simulations and machine verifications to prevent collisions.
• Maintain program revisions and engineering records.
• Recommend tooling, fixturing, and programming improvements.
• Work with operators to improve manufacturability and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational procedures.
• Perform additional duties to meet departmental goals.
