American Heavy Plates in Clarington, OH is seeking a CNC Burner for full-time manual labor. You will operate and set up CNC machines, use oxyfuel cutting and Sigmanest, and read blueprints to prepare parts to customer specifications.

Qualifications

• Ability to apply knowledge of shop math, machinability of materials and drawings.
• Ability to read blueprints and use general measuring equipment.
• Ability to download programs via disc, flash drive or direct connect.
• Perform cuts and required nesting as defined by production.
• Accurate completion of production and Quality Control sheets.
• Accurate completion of work orders based on production schedule.
• Ability to read operator’s book and make appropriate parts correctly.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to learn and operate other prep equipment.
• Must be able to finish product with grinders, sanders, and hand tools.
• Perform daily preventive maintenance to assigned equipment to keep in proper working order.

This position is responsible for preparing raw steel and finished product to the correct length and shape according to customer requirements using an Oxyfuel Cutting Table and Sigmanest Program.

Job Overview

Candidate will be assigned to operate and set up conventional or numerical control (CNC) machines to fabricate parts, applying knowledge of shop math, machinability of materials and drawings.

• Exposure to loud, penetrating noises in some work areas
• Proper personal protective equipment is required at all times, such as, steel toed or metatarsal boots, ear plugs/earmuffs, safety glasses, pants, hard hats and possible respirator use
