Job summary

TOPS Staffing is seeking an experienced CNC Burn Table Operator for a four-day workweek in manufacturing. The role starts at $20-$23/hour, with potential increases to $24-$27/hour after hire-in by the company. Schedule runs Tuesday through Friday, 5:00 AM–3:30 PM, with four 10-hour shifts.

Ideal candidates have CNC, steel fabrication, or heavy manufacturing experience, familiarity with reading blueprints, and comfort using overhead cranes. Overtime Mondays may be available if needed.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC burn/ Plasma tables or similar machines.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Ability to accurately measure materials and finished parts.
• Overhead crane experience strongly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work independently while also being part of a production team.
• Willingness to learn and develop additional skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a CNC burn table
• Select the appropriate burning tip and gas settings
• Load and unload steel and other materials using an overhead crane
• Position and guide material to meet job specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Program the burn table based on production requirements
• Measure finished pieces for accuracy
• Perform quality inspections on completed work
• Maintain required tolerances, including +/- 1/16"
• Monitor production and complete work efficiently
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
