Job summary

Spherion Staffing & Recruiting is seeking a full-time CNC Press Brake Operator in the Duluth/Hermantown area to support precision fabrication of aluminum components.

You will read blueprints, set up and operate CNC press brakes, verify dimensions with calipers and tape measures, and perform routine maintenance to ensure parts meet exact specifications.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC press brake machinery to produce precision aluminum components per engineering specs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, setup sheets, and work instructions to ensure accurate part fabrication.
• Adjust machine settings, tooling, and back gauges as needed to maintain dimensional accuracy.
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, tape measures, and squares for quality.
• Perform routine machine checks and basic preventive maintenance.

Are you a skilled machine operator or someone mechanically inclined with a passion for precision work? Spherion Staffing & Recruiting is hiring a full-time CNC Press Brake Operator for a premier manufacturing facility in the Duluth/Hermantown area. In this direct-hire role, you will play a key part in the precision fabrication of high-quality aluminum components, ensuring parts meet exact specifications and quality standards.

Starting Pay:$25.00 - $27.00/hour (Depending on Experience)

Schedule: Monday - Friday: 8AM - 4:30PM

What You'll Do

• Operate CNC press brake machinery to produce precision aluminum components according to engineering specs and drawings.
• Read and interpret blueprints, setup sheets, and work instructions to ensure accurate part fabrication.
• Adjust machine settings, tooling, and back gauges as needed to maintain consistency and dimensional accuracy.
• Inspect finished parts using precision tools (calipers, tape measures, squares) for quality and conformance.
• Perform routine machine checks and basic preventive maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace while adhering to all safety protocols and wearing required PPE.

What We're Looking For

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Proficiency using basic hand tools and measuring instruments (tape measure, calipers, squares).
• Basic math skills and strong mechanical aptitude.
• Physical ability to stand for up to 8 hours daily and lift up to 70 lbs.

Bonus Points

• 1-3 years of experience operating CNC press brakes or similar metal fabrication equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or blueprints.
