Job summary

Randstad USA in Chattanooga, TN seeks an experienced CNC Brake Press Operator to join a family-oriented machine shop. You will work on Amada Brake Presses in a clean, temperature-controlled facility with a stable, respectful environment and most weekends off.

Qualifications

• Must possess at least 2 years of dedicated CNC Brake Press experience.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to set up the CNC Brake Press for each job - Amada Brake Presses are used.
• Operate CNC Brake Press and safely teardown and cleanup after production runs.
• Willingness to wear steel-toe shoes and work in a smoke-free environment.

Responsibilities

• Review incoming part orders, retrieve correct metal materials, and cut to size as required.
• Set up CNC Brake Press per blueprints and drawings so each job is produced to spec.
• Run an initial test part and verify with calipers/micrometers.
• Safely operate equipment to complete orders and perform teardown afterward.
• Ideally have experience with lathes/mills, fiber optic lasers, or welding.

Responsibilities

• Required Experience: Must possess at least 2years of dedicated CNC Brake Press experience.
• Material Preparation: Review incoming part orders, retrieve the correct metal materials, and possibly cut them down to specified sizes as required.
• Machine Setup: Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to accurately set up the CNC Brake Press for each job - we use Amada Brake Presses.
• Quality Inspection: Run an initial test part and utilize calipers and micrometers to verify it is fully up-to-spec before executing the rest of the production run.
• Production & Tear-Down: Safely operate the machinery to complete the order, followed by the proper tear-down and cleanup of the machine.
• Additional Preferred Skills:Manual or CNC lathes/mills, fiber optic CNC lasers, or welding is a highly valued plus.
