Job summary

Staffmark Group in Paragould, AR is hiring an experienced CNC Brake Press operator to set up and run a brake press, inspect parts, and keep production moving smoothly.

You will read prints, select tooling, adjust bend angles and machine parameters, and collaborate with a team to ensure dimensional accuracy and safe operations on a Monday–Friday schedule with overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Technical training in metal fabrication or blueprint reading is beneficial.

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 6 AM - 3 PM + OT

Job Duties

• Independently set up and operate CNC brake press equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, shop drawings, work orders, and work instructions.
• Complete setups using prints/blueprints and established setup information.
• Select and install the appropriate punches, dies, and other tooling for each job.
• Load and accurately position material for bending and forming operations.
• Set and adjust machine parameters, including bend angles, back gauge, tonnage, and program settings.
• Work with sheet and plate metal in a variety of thicknesses.
• Produce both simple and complex multi-bend parts.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Technical training in metal fabrication, machining, manufacturing, or blueprint reading is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

• Ability to safely operate press brake equipment and related fabrication machinery.
• Ability to read blueprints, work orders, and production specifications.
• Experience using measuring instruments such as calipers, tape measures, angle gauges, or micrometers.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain dimensional accuracy and product quality.
• Commitment to workplace safety, dependable attendance, and quality workmanship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous press brake, fabrication, sheet metal, manufacturing, or machine operation experience is preferred.
• Experience setting up tooling, making machine adjustments, or interpreting engineering drawings is beneficial.
• Knowledge of precision measurement, quality inspection, Lean manufacturing, or preventative maintenance is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork are well positioned for success as a CNC Brake Press.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive manufacturing tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift and handle sheet metal, materials, or finished parts weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Manual dexterity to safely load materials, operate machinery, and inspect finished products.
• Ability to safely work around industrial equipment while following established manufacturing safety procedures.
