Job summary

Lever, Inc. in York, PA seeks a CNC Beam Processing Operator to run automated equipment for cutting and preparing structural steel beams, columns, channels and other components. You will perform machine setup, material handling, part inspection and daily production support.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of CNC operation experience, blueprint literacy and a strong safety mindset. Forklift/crane experience is a plus with emphasis on accuracy.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of CNC machine operation experience.
• CNC coping or beam line experience preferred.
• Structural steel fabrication experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and shop drawings.
• Experience with tooling changes and basic troubleshooting.

CNC Beam Processing Operator

Location: York, PA
Shift: 2nd Shift
Job Type: Contract to Hire
Pay: Starting at $22.00/hour, with higher pay available depending on experience
2nd Shift Differential: +$3.00/hour

Position Overview

We are looking for a CNC Beam Processing Operator to run automated equipment used to cut and prepare structural steel beams, columns, channels, and other steel components. The role includes machine setup, material movement, part inspection, and production support.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC coping and cutting equipment.
• Process structural steel beams, columns, channels, and related components.
• Read structural steel shop drawings, blueprints, and dimensions.
• Move steel using overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Perform coping, cutting, drilling, and other programmed machine operations.
• Check completed parts with tape measures, calipers, squares, and other measuring tools.
• Change tooling and make basic machine adjustments as needed.
• Troubleshoot basic machine issues and perform routine maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow production schedules and quality requirements.

Qualifications
