Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Operate beam line equipment to process structural steel components according to engineering drawings and work orders.
  • Interpret shop drawings, cut lists, and production schedules.
  • Load, position, and unload steel beams using overhead cranes, forklifts, or other material handling equipment.
  • Set up machine tooling and verify proper machine settings for drilling, cutting, coping, marking, and layout operations.
  • Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Inspect finished products to verify compliance with dimensional and quality requirements.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication as required.
  • Identify and report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, and quality concerns.
  • Accurately record production data, material usage, and downtime information.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, and safety.

  • Understanding of measurement tools including tape measures and squares.

  • Ability to troubleshoot basic machine and production issues.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet production deadlines.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and climb as required.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, dust, and moving equipment.
  • Must be able to wear required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toe boots, gloves, and hard hats.
