Job summary

Qualdoc is seeking a Steel CNC Equipment Technician in York, PA, to support production operations in a structural steel environment. You will operate automated fabrication machinery, produce quality parts, and maintain a safe, efficient work area.

Priority will be given to candidates with CNC experience in heavy manufacturing or steel fabrication and the ability to read structural blueprints. This contract-to-hire role offers first & second shift options and starting pay from $23.00/hour, with

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years CNC operating experience in structural steel fabrication or heavy manufacturing.
• High school diploma or GED required; vocational training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up CNC fabrication equipment, including beam drill lines, plasma cutting systems, and angle processing machines.
• Interpret blueprints, shop drawings, production schedules, and work orders.
• Load, position, and secure steel materials using overhead cranes, rigging equipment, and other material handling devices.
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain production quality and accuracy.
• Inspect finished components using precision measuring tools to verify dimensions.
• Make minor CNC program modifications to accommodate different sizes and thicknesses.
• Perform routine equipment checks, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain a clean work area following OSHA safety standards and company procedures.

Job Summary

• Familiarity with overhead cranes, forklifts, and rigging equipment is preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
