Job summary

Stryker is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Memphis to keep manufacturing operations running safely and efficiently through troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance. The role involves hands-on work with CNC and automated equipment, with an emphasis on safety and continuous improvement.

The position requires a HS diploma or equivalent, plus technical training or maintenance experience. Schedule includes evenings, with on-site work and a 28.65/hr base plus shift premium and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of technical school, apprenticeship, or equivalent maintenance education; OR
• 2+ years maintenance or troubleshooting experience with CNC machines and automated equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and follow technical instructions, procedures, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair CNC machines, automated equipment, PLC-controlled systems, packaging equipment, and other production machinery.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control-system issues.
• Respond to equipment downtime events and restore equipment safely and efficiently.
• Complete maintenance work orders and documentation in the CMMS system.
• Support continuous improvement, 5S, Lean, reliability, and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Read and interpret schematics, drawings, manuals, and procedures.
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, relocations, and related projects.
• Partner with production teams to improve equipment performance and reduce downtime.
• Promote safety, accountability, teamwork, and customer service.
