Job summary

Hyundai Motor Group in Montgomery, AL seeks a CNC Applications Specialist for the Engine Engineering department. You will program and optimize NC processes, interpret detailed prints, and support high-volume automotive machining with a focus on quality, safety, and productivity.

Responsibilities include tooling setup, fixture evaluation, operator mentoring, and continuous improvement efforts. Travel domestically or abroad may be required; occasional overtime and weekend coverage could be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical discipline or equivalent preferred.
• 0–10 years job related experience preferred.
• 5 years’ experience in CNC manufacturing environment serving in a CNC programming role.

Responsibilities

• Familiarity with CNC machine programming and high-volume machining environments.
• Monitor part prints, tool layouts, quality data; adjust offsets as needed.
• Provide technical direction to troubleshoot problems and implement countermeasures.
• Develop and organize information related to departmental activities.
• Apply statistical methods to analyze and control equipment performance.
• Coordinate and provide technical training to team members.
• Support continuous improvement activities and project work.
• Prepare technical presentations and mentor colleagues as needed.
• Communicate across the organization to drive improvements.
