Job summary

Morris Group, Inc. seeks a CNC Machine Tools Applications Engineer to support customers and the sales team in Indianapolis. You will design, own, and implement custom solutions for CNC automation and robotics, with emphasis on training and demonstrations.

You will develop manufacturing solutions, write reports, and provide post-sale support while collaborating with the sales team to grow revenue streams across our regional territory.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on machining experience with CNC processes.
• Strong ability to program CNC machines and develop processes.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of tooling and ancillary machining equipment.
• Frequent regional travel with overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Part programming of CNC machines and process development.
• Conduct pre-sale activities including customer visits and opportunity evaluation.
• Draft accurate cost estimates and write engineering reports.
• Program and set up CNC lathes and mills with automation/robotics.
• Develop demonstrations and train users on CNC machines and robots.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of product lines represented by the company.
