Job summary
Allegion is seeking a CNC Applications Engineer in Princeton, IL to manage setup, programming and operation of CNC machining centers with Fanuc controls. You will study parts and drawings, optimize tooling and processes, and ensure products meet specifications through rigorous in-process inspections.
The role requires a 4-year engineering degree and 5+ years of CNC experience, with CAD/CAM proficiency and ability to work independently or in teams.
Qualifications
- Requires a 4-year Engineering degree and 5+ years of CNC setup, programming and operation experience.
- Proficient with Fanuc controls and G/M code to develop programs for various CNC machines.
- Experience using CAD/CAM software and ability to read blueprints.
- Familiarity with inspection equipment and precision measurement.
Responsibilities
- Review new jobs pre-setup including prints, programs, tooling to ensure uninterrupted setup.
- Study drawings to determine machining methods and sequences.
- Conduct in-process inspections using precision instruments.
- Configure tooling, fixtures, feeds and speeds for operations.
- Lead Lean manufacturing tools and drive productivity improvements.
- Prepare and maintain process documentation and capital equipment plans.
