Job summary

The candidate should have strong G&M code knowledge, blueprint reading skills, and experience with precision measuring tools. A 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM schedule applies with standard overtime based on workload.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years CNC Mill/Lathe or 5-axis machining experience.
• Mazak Integrex experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, and perform changeovers on CNC 5-axis Mazak Integrex machines.
• Perform first article inspections and ensure parts meet specifications.
• Load parts using overhead lifting equipment and adjust machine offsets.
• Make simple program edits and monitor machine operations.
• Identify and correct machine issues, malfunctions, or out-of-tolerance conditions.
• Read blueprints and verify dimensions, tolerances, tooling, and machining requirements.
• Use precision measuring instruments and maintain tight tolerances.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and perform basic preventive maintenance.
• Manage workflow to meet production schedules and quality standards.

Job description

Seeking an experienced CNC 5-Axis Machinist to operate and control computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines. The ideal candidate will have experience with CNC machining, G & M codes, blueprint reading, precision measuring tools, and Mazak Integrex 5-axis machining centers. Responsible for safely and efficiently setting up, operating, and producing high-quality precision parts while meeting safety, quality, delivery, and productivity standards.

Schedule: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (Overtime may be required based on workload)
Pay Rate: $25.00 – $30.00/hour

Job Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, and perform changeovers on CNC 5-axis Mazak Integrex machines
• Perform first article inspections and ensure parts meet specifications
• Load parts using overhead lifting equipment and adjust machine offsets as needed
• Make simple program edits and monitor machine operations
• Identify and correct machine issues, malfunctions, or out-of-tolerance conditions
• Read blueprints and verify dimensions, tolerances, tooling, and machining requirements
• Use measuring tools including micrometers, dial indicators, depth gauges, profilometers, and groove micrometers
• Maintain tight tolerances, often within +/-0.0005
• Identify and properly use Capto tool holders, mill tooling, turning tools, and inserts
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and perform basic preventative maintenance
• Manage workflow to meet production schedules and quality standards

Required Skills

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 3–5 years of combined CNC Mill and CNC Lathe experience or 5-axis machining experience
• Previous Mazak experience preferred (Mazak Integrex experience beneficial)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job orders
• Strong understanding of G & M codes and CNC machine operation
• Experience using precision measuring instruments and maintaining tight tolerances
• Strong attention to detail and quality mindset
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
