Responsibilities

• Support mobility, transfers, and repositioning to prevent pressure injuries.
• Observe and report changes to the licensed nurse; maintain care documentation.
• Assist with meals, hydration, and nutritional needs; provide emotional support.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized rooms and common areas; follow infection control policies.

CNAs provide direct patient care and assist residents with daily living activities while promoting comfort, dignity, and quality of life. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, reliable, and committed to providing high-quality care to elderly and medically complex residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding
• Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and repositioning to prevent pressure injuries
• Observe and report changes in resident condition to the licensed nurse
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
• Support residents with meals, hydration, and nutritional needs
• Provide emotional support and maintain a respectful and compassionate environment
• Ensure residents’ rooms and common areas remain clean, safe, and organized
• Follow infection control policies and safety procedures
• Assist nursing staff with other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in the state
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care, or rehabilitation setting preferred
• Ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents as needed
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
