The role also supports CNA duties when not transporting, requiring professionalism, strong patient care skills, and safe driving practices.

Ideal candidates will hold a Texas CNA certification, a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and be comfortable with caregiving alongside safe vehicle operation.

Qualifications

• Holds a valid driver’s license and has a clean driving record.
• Is at least 25 years old (for insurance requirements).
• Has a current Nursing Assistant Certification in Texas.
• Can pass the DMV check and qualify for company insurance.
• Completes the Employee Driver Proficiency program.
• Demonstrates strong communication, patience, and attention to detail.
• Is comfortable with both caregiving and safe vehicle operation.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments, therapy sessions, and activities.
• Ensure resident comfort and monitor safety during transport.
• Observe changes in residents' condition and report concerns promptly.
• Assist with mobility and transfers using proper technique.
• Monitor vital signs when needed during transport.
• Support CNA duties in the facility when not transporting residents.
