Job summary

Magnolia Gardens Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a Transportation Aide CNA. The role supports resident transportation to appointments and events, while providing CNA care as needed.

You will assist with administrative tasks and maintain safety and communication with families. Requirements include current Nursing Assistant Certification, CPR certification, and a valid NC driver’s license with limited driving entries.

Qualifications

• Current Nursing Assistant Certification from state.
• Must have a current/active CPR certification.
• Valid State Driver’s License with no more than three entries (accidents, moving violations, or failures to appear). Convictions for DUI/DWI or serious felonies disqualify driving for the facility.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate transportation for residents to appointments and events.
• Assist in arranging and providing actual transportation.
• Notify families about appointment arrangements.
• Ensure vehicle is safely prepared before trips.
• Perform clerical tasks such as processing transfers and discharges.
• Act as a sitter for residents when needed.
• Provide personal care and other CNA duties as required.

What you will do:

• Confirm doctors’ appointments for residents.
• Assist in making arrangements, and in providing actual transportation, to appointments, community events and others, as needed.
• Notify family of arrangements in regards to appointments.
• Ensure that the vehicle is safely supplied prior to the start of the trip.
• Perform clerical tasks to include processing administrative transfer and discharges.
• Act as a Sitter for Residents when and if needed.
• Provide personal care (i.e., grooming, bathing, dressing, oral care, etc.) of residents, as well as perform other CNA duties as needed.

What you need:

• Current Nursing Assistant Certification from state.
• Must have a current/active CPR certification.
• Valid State Driver’s License with no more than three (3) entries; counting accidents, moving violations, and failures to appear. All accidents are counted, regardless of fault. (Note: Convictions for DUI/DWI, refusal to test, reckless driving, hit and run or other felony convictions are unacceptable and disqualify the driver from driving on behalf of the facility regardless of the number of MVR entries.)
