Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) at GSS SD Desmet Ctr in De Smet, SD. The role provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living support under RN supervision, with duties including bathing, feeding, and vital signs.

Schedule varies and may include nights/weekends; a FLEX premium and weekend/evening differentials add to pay. Salary ranges from $19.00 to $25.50 per hour, plus a $10,000 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience preferred.
• CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing required or in process within four months of starting.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and vitals; follow care plan.
• Document resident interactions and changes; communicate with charge nurse.
