Good Samaritan, a not-for-profit provider offering housing and services to seniors in a Christian environment, seeks a Nursing Assistant (NA) for De Smet, SD. The role involves resident-centered care under RN supervision, assisting with daily living activities, and contributing to a safe, dignified living environment.

The schedule is varied, including nights and weekends on a non-block basis, with a 40-hour workweek and a pay range of $19.00–$25.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is required or obtained within four months of date into position by enrollment in a training program or certification process.
• Minimum age of 16.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned resident under RN supervision.
• Record non-invasive vital signs and assist with care tasks as needed.
• Assist residents in transferring, repositioning, and walking using proper techniques and equipment.
• Assist with meals and dining to create a positive dining experience for residents.
• Communicate changing resident conditions and care needs to the charge nurse.
