Job summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) at Good Samaritan Desmet Center in De Smet, SD provides resident-centered care under the supervision of an RN. Responsibilities include daily living assistance, vital signs, and contributing to a safe, clean environment.

This full-time role offers 40 hours per week with a flexible shift pattern and a $10,000 sign-on bonus. Eligible benefits include health, dental, vision, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• CNA certification required or in progress within four months of start date.
• Minimum age 16; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Annual competency testing and continuing education credits must be completed and kept up to date.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care under RN supervision.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Document resident interactions and vital signs; maintain accurate records.
• Assist with food preparation and dining to ensure a positive dining experience.
• Communicate changes in residents' condition to the charge nurse; participate in wellness activities.
