Job summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) at Good Samaritan Society – De Smet Center provides resident-centered care under the supervision of a registered nurse. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and support residents with meals and mobility in a long-term care setting.

The role offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus, a competitive hourly wage of $19.00 to $25.50, and benefits including 401(k) matching and PTO accrual.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification required and provided by facility or in process of obtaining certification.
• Annual competency testing and continuing education credits required.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care during shifts under RN supervision.
• Assist with daily living activities: bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, meals.
• Record vital signs and monitor resident health status.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, and walking using proper techniques.
• Support infection prevention policies and PPE usage.
• Document resident interactions and communicate changes to charge nurse.
• Assist wellness and recreational programs and support residents' activities.
