Job summary

Aegis Therapies in Westminster, MD is seeking a Wellness Instructor in Restorative Care to join our Rehab Therapy Team, delivering wellness, fitness, and exercise programs on site.

The role requires a CNA certification with on-site restorative training; you will assist in restorative care and focus on mobility, ROM, and related tasks while collaborating with the therapy team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Current CNA certification in state of practice is required.
• Specialty certification as personal trainer or exercise specialist is preferred.
• Background in exercise and activity training with senior populations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver wellness, fitness, and exercise programs as part of the therapy team.
• Receive restorative training on site. CNA certification is required.
• Assist in restorative care as directed, focusing on mobility and activity tasks.
• Handle exclusive restorative duties (ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, ROM, dressing/grooming, splint/prosthesis care) with minimal routine CNA tasks.

Restorative CNA - Wellness Instructor

Working with the Rehab Therapy Team

Job Type: Full Time

Schedule: Up to 40 hours per week - Rotating weekends

Setting: Rehabilitation Center, Skilled Nursing Facility, Senior Care Wellness

Location: Westminster, MD

Pay: $19-$21 per hour

As a CNA/Wellness Instructor for Restorative Care, you will:

• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
• Receive full restorative training provided onsite. No restorative experience necessary, (CNA Certification Required)
• Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
• Exclusive restorative responsibilities (Ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, splint/prosthesis care) with limited or none of the “less desirable” tasks that often accompany a CNA position.
