Job summary

Aegis Therapies is seeking a Wellness Instructor in Restorative Care (CNA) in Killeen, TX. This PRN position on weekends works with the Rehab Therapy Team in a skilled nursing setting to provide wellness and exercise programs and support restorative care.

Responsibilities include on-site restorative training, delivering patient-focused activities, and collaborating with therapy staff to promote patient well-being.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in state of practice.
• Preferred specialty certifications in personal training or fitness instruction.
• Experience with exercise and activity programs for seniors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver wellness, fitness, and exercise programs with the therapy team.
• Receive restorative training on site; CNA is required.
• Assist in restorative care activities (ambulation, transfers, ROM, dressing).

Location: Killeen, TX

As a CNA/Wellness Instructor for Restorative Care, you will:

• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
• Receive full restorative training provided onsite. No restorative experience necessary, (CNA Certification Required)
• Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
• Exclusive restorative responsibilities (Ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, splint/prosthesis care) with limited or none of the "less desirable" tasks that often accompany a CNA position.

Qualifications:
