Job summary

Aegis Therapies is hiring a Restorative CNA - Wellness Instructor to join the Rehab Therapy Team in Westminster, MD. This full-time role requires a CNA certification with up to 40 hours per week and rotating weekends, focusing on wellness, fitness, and exercise programs for residents in a skilled nursing setting.

With EnerG wellness initiatives and comprehensive restorative training onsite, you will assist in restorative care activities and collaborate with the therapy team to enhance patient

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant with current state licensure.
• Experience or certification in fitness instruction for seniors preferred.
• Background in exercise and activity, especially with older adults, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver wellness, fitness, and exercise programs with the rehab therapy team.
• Assist in restorative care and activities such as ambulation, transfers, bed mobility and ROM.
• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation and collaborate with the therapy team.
• Participate in on-site restorative training and support patient wellness goals.

As a CNA/Wellness Instructor for Restorative Care, you will: Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs. Receive full restorative training provided onsite. No restorative experience necessary, (CNA Certification Required) Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed. Exclusive restorative responsibilities (Ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, splint/prosthesis care) with limited or none of the "less desirable" tasks that often accompany a CNA position.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Current certification as Certified Nursing Assistant / CNA in state of practice.
