Job summary

Providence Portland Medical Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Respiratory Cardiology Unit on a .9 FTE day shift (7 am–7:30 pm, three 12-hour shifts weekly) with rotating weekends. You will assist RN with admissions, discharges, and transfers, and contribute to a high-functioning team.

The role involves measuring vital signs, collecting specimens, and supporting patient mobility using lifts and safe handling devices.

Qualifications

• Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• Experience in hospital or long-term setting (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a high functioning team
• Assist RN with admissions, discharges, and transfers
• Measure and record vital signs, output, and weights
• Collect specimens and perform fingerstick capillary blood tests
• Assist with client mobility and transfers, using lifts and safe patient handling devices
• Opportunities for continuing education and professional development, including annual CNA conference
• Other duties as assigned
