Job summary

Harmony Senior Services, LLC is seeking a compassionate CNA/Direct Care Giver to provide daily living assistance to residents in Martinsburg, West Virginia. You will support independence, coordinate activities, and maintain detailed records while following all policies.

Qualifications

• Must possess current CNA license from the State in which the community is located and in good standing with the Board of Nursing
• Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in-writing
• Must be organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel
• Must be a contributing member of nursing team and follow instruction of supervisor
• Must be polite and considerate of residents, visitors, and co-workers at all times
• Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, and push or carry 25 lbs
• Must be able to safely lift and transfer residents while maintaining proper body mechanics
• Must be in designated uniform during working hours, to include name badge and a smile
• Must be CPR/First Aid certified, or be willing to become certified within 60 days of hire
• Must be able to represent the community in a positive and professional manner
• Must attend and complete all required in-services and staff meetings
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays
• Completes all other duties as assigned

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living
• Reports incidents involving residents and documents appropriately
• Perform housekeeping duties in resident areas as directed
• Respond promptly to resident calls for assistance or emergencies
• Assist in planning and conducting activity programs for residents
• Communicate status and updates verbally and in writing
• Assist new residents with move‑in and provide emotional support
• Keep the Daily Log and clinical records updated and report changes to appropriate staff
• Notifies family as directed
