Harmony Senior Services, LLC is seeking a CNA/Direct Care Giver to provide quality, compassionate care to residents in Martinsburg, WV. You will assist with activities of daily living, support independence, and help plan engaging activities while following policies and documenting care experiences.

The role requires current CNA license, strong communication, physical stamina, and a positive, professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• Must possess current CNA license from the State and be in good standing.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Organized and able to work with all levels of personnel.
• Polite and considerate of residents, visitors, and co-workers.
• Able to walk and stand for extended periods and lift 50 lbs.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to become certified within 60 days.

Responsibilities

The CNA encourages residents to function at their highest level of independence and to participate in community activities. Conducts activities and provides for a meaningful experience for all residents.Must maintain a working knowledge of all policies and procedures pertaining to the positionAssists residents with activities of daily livingReports incidents involving residents to include care concerns or issues, to appropriate individuals (ex: HCC, RN/LPN, or ED) and completes appropriate documentationPerform housekeeping duties, such as making resident beds, cleaning resident apartments, common areas, dining room, etc. as directed by supervisorRespond promptly to all resident calls for assistance or emergency alertsMust be able to remain calm and competent during emergenciesAssists in planning and conducting activity programs for residentsFollows confidentiality policies regarding release of resident informationAssists residents to and from the dining room, and to and from activitiesChecks on residents, ensures attendance at meals and activitiesChecks on residents who are ill and reports status or concerns to appropriate individuals documents appropriately when necessaryCommunicate verbally and in writing to report resident status, upcoming community information, resident appointments, admissions, and transfersAssists new residents with move-in transition: provide emotional supportReports all resident changes and interventions and interventions in the Daily Log and clinical record.
