Qualifications

• CNA certification and caring, dependable nature are required.
• HIPAA guidelines confidentiality awareness.
• Strong communication with residents, families and staff.
• Ability to work independently with team direction.
• Basic computer skills helpful.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a positive working relationship with residents, family members and staff.
• Maintains confidentiality of residents’ information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
• Assist with daily living activities to ensure patients are cared for, including turning and ambulating patients and delivering food and beverages.
• Help patients with personal hygiene, such as bedpans and bathing.
• Provide adjunct patient care as needed, e.g., ice packs, dressings, or post-therapy baths.
• Monitor and record food intake and urinary/fecal output for medical staff.
• Process information from other professionals and coordinate with physicians, caregivers, and nurses.
• Apply infection control precautions in all activities.
• Demonstrate knowledge of fire and emergency procedures and report violations.
