Job summary

Sanctuary Hospice is seeking a Per Diem Hospice Aide (CNA) in Naperville to join a compassionate team providing hands-on end-of-life care. You will work closely with the nursing team to meet patients’ physical, emotional, and personal needs with dignity and empathy.

The role requires CNA certification, CPR (where state-mandated), and a minimum of one year of CNA experience in acute or long-term care. Per diem schedule and robust benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CNA certificate in state working as a CNA required.
• Minimum 1 year CNA experience in acute or long-term care; hospice experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized care per the plan of care.

Responsibilities

• Provide Personalized Care: Follow the carefully crafted plan of care to ensure the comfort and well-being of our patients. Attend promptly to the requests of patients and their family/caregiver, offering compassionate and unwavering support.
• Assist with Personal Care: Support patients with various personal care needs, including bathing, oral hygiene, changing bedding, clothing, and shampooing. Your presence during these intimate moments contributes significantly to their overall comfort and dignity.
• Be Dedicated to Customer Service: Emphasize exceptional customer service, going above and beyond to ensure optimal patient satisfaction. Your dedication to providing outstanding care will be valued and celebrated as part of our team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Holds current unencumbered certificate in the state working as a C.N.A.
• Minimum one (1) year experience as a C.N.A. in an acute care or long term care setting. Hospice exp a plus!
• Possess and maintains current CPR certification if state-mandated
• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to dependable transportation.

$21.00 - $23.00 per hour (Average Pay Range). The pay range listed represents a general posting guideline for the role and is not a fixed offer. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and the specific responsibilities of the position. The exact compensation rate will be discussed and confirmed at the conclusion of the interview process.
