Job summary

Crescent Hospice in Bennettsville, SC is seeking a Per Diem Hospice Aide (CNA) to provide hands-on end-of-life care with dignity and compassion in patients' homes across Chesterfield, Dillon and Marlboro counties.

You'll work closely with our nursing team to meet physical, emotional and personal needs while documenting care and ensuring comfort for patients and their families. We offer comprehensive benefits, tuition reimbursement, PTO and a supportive onboarding program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Active CNA certificate in the state claimed.
• Minimum 1 year CNA experience in an acute or long-term care setting (hospice experience a plus).
• Current CPR certification if state-mandated.
• Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide Personalized Care following the plan of care to ensure patient comfort.
• Assist with Personal Care (bathing, hygiene, bedding, clothing, shampooing).
• Be dedicated to exceptional customer service and patient satisfaction.
• Provide support for families, guiding and reassuring them during the terminally ill period.
• Maintain accurate documentation in home care and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide Personalized Care: Follow the carefully crafted plan of care to ensure the comfort and well‑being of our patients. Attend promptly to the requests of patients and their family/caregiver, offering compassionate and unwavering support.
• Assist with Personal Care: Support patients with various personal care needs, including bathing, oral hygiene, changing bedding, clothing, and shampooing. Your presence during these intimate moments contributes significantly to their overall comfort and dignity.
• Be Dedicated to Customer Service: Emphasize exceptional customer service, going above and beyond to ensure optimal patient satisfaction. Your dedication to providing outstanding care will be valued and celebrated as part of our team.
• Provide Support for Families: Impact patients' families by sharing your knowledge and expertise, guiding and supporting them in caring for their terminally ill loved ones. Your presence offers confidence and reassurance during this challenging time.
• Maintain Accurate Documentation: Every detail is crucial in delivering high‑quality care, both in the patient's home and within our agency and regulatory standards. Your attention to detail is vital to our success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Holds current unencumbered certificate in the state working as a C.N.A.
• Minimum one (1) year experience as a C.N.A. in an acute care or long term care setting. Hospice exp a plus!
• Possess and maintains current CPR certification if state‑mandated
• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to dependable transportation.

$17.00 - $19.00 per hour (Average Pay Range). The pay range listed represents a general posting guideline for the role and is not a fixed offer. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and the specific responsibilities of the position. The exact compensation rate will be discussed and confirmed at the conclusion of the interview process.
